Updated: 11 August 2026 Announcing the international open call for the 2026 Foundwork Artist Prize, Foundwork's annual juried award to recognize outstanding artistic practices in any media. The 2026 jury brings together five leaders within the contemporary art community including Stefan Benchoam, Artist and Co-Founder of Proyectos Ultravioleta and NuMu; François Ghebaly, Founder of François Ghebaly Gallery; Manuela Moscoso, Executive and Artistic Director of the Center for Art, Research and Alliances (CARA); Gabi Ngcobo, Director of Kunstinstituut Melly and Esther Schipper, Founder of Esther Schipper Gallery. Who can apply: The Artist Prize is open to artists residing anywhere in the world with limited exceptions. What you get: • One Honoree will receive an unrestricted $10,000 grant, studio visits with each of the jurors, and an interview for Foundwork’s Dialogues program. • Three shortlisted artists will receive $1,000 micro-grants to support their practice.
