Terms of use

Grantlane is an information service. We gather publicly published UK funding opportunities, structure them, and match them against the profile you give us. We are not a funder, a grant writer, or an agent, and we are not affiliated with any of the organisations we list.

Nothing. There is no subscription, no trial and no paid tier. Donations are voluntary, change nothing about what you can access, and are not refundable — they are gifts towards running costs, not purchases. Grantlane is not a registered charity and donations are not tax-deductible.

We take accuracy seriously: records are extracted from structured source data, amounts and deadlines appear only where the funder publishes them, and every listing shows when it was last checked and links to its official source.

Even so, always confirm the details on the funder’s own website before you apply. Funders change deadlines, close rounds early, exhaust budgets and rewrite eligibility rules without notice. A listing here is a signpost, not a guarantee, and we cannot be liable for a missed deadline or a rejected application.

Match results are an aid to judgement, not eligibility advice. “Strong match” means your profile fits the criteria the funder published — only the funder decides who is eligible.

If you spot something wrong, please use the report link on the listing. We check reports against the official source before changing anything.

Keep your password to yourself and give us accurate information — matching is only as good as the profile behind it. Don’t use the service to scrape it wholesale, break it, or resell the data. You can delete your account at any time.

Much of the underlying material is published under the Open Government Licence v3.0 and is attributed on each listing. Other records remain the property of the funders who published them; we link to the original rather than reproducing it in full. Grantlane’s own structuring, matching and interface are ours.

The service is provided as-is and as-available. We may change or withdraw features, and we don’t promise uninterrupted access. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be excluded under law. Beyond that, and because the service is free, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss — including funding you did not receive.

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
