Summary

Creative Practice grants are designed to support you as an artist or creative professional, investing in your growth and future. They allow you to dedicate time and space for creative experimentation, professional development and to work in new ways.

Who can apply

Individual artists and creative professionals working in the arts can apply. Take a look at our eligibility criteria for individuals to see if you are eligible. Those eligible to apply include but are not limited to: • Visual or applied artists and curators • Theatre practitioners including directors, producers etc • Dancers and dance professionals including choreographers and movement directors • Musicians, composers and music creators • Circus performers and practitioners • Multidisciplinary artists • Community arts practitioners Examples of creative practitioners we can’t support include: • Commercial professionals. e.g. designers or retail-focussed makers, musicians making commercial music • Filmmakers (please see Ffilm Cymru) • Literary writers (please see Literature Wales) Please note - The aim of this fund is to support the development of your creative practice and not commercial activities / ventures. You must have a track record as an artist or creative professional in one of the areas we support. You may have had breaks, and your creative practice does not have to be your main source of income, but you must have demonstrable artistic or creative experience.

Creative Practice grants are designed to support you as an artist or creative professional, investing in your growth and future. They allow you to dedicate time and space for creative experimentation, professional development and to work in new ways. Rather than funding predetermined outcomes, these grants encourage exploration and innovation—whether that means testing new ideas, developing fresh approaches, or engaging in opportunities such as mentoring and training. Our aim is to support you in shaping a practice that thrives, evolves, and makes a lasting impact on your sustainability. To provide you with experience and tools you need for the future to secure new opportunities and reach new audiences. You can apply for between £500 and £10,000.
