Home French Farm Wind Farm Community Fund Overview Grants of up to £4,000 are available for community projects benefitting residents in eligible parishes within 5km of French Farm Wind Farm, Peterborough. Who can apply? Non-profit organisations Maximum grant Up to £4,000 Eligible area Parishes of Borough Fen, Crowland, Eye, Fleet, Gedney Hill, Holbeach, Newborough, Parson Drove, Sutton St Edmunds, Thorney and Whaplode Deadlines 1 August Fund criteria Grants are available for charitable projects benefiting local communities in the parishes listed below. Eligible projects may be supported if they demonstrably benefit a material proportion of the local community living in “the area of benefit” – within a 5km radius of the wind farm. The following parishes are eligible for grants from this fund: • Borough Fen • Crowland • Eye • Fleet • Gedney Hill • Holbeach • Newborough • Parson Drove • Sutton St Edmunds • Thorney • Whaplode Applicants must submit a letter of support for their project from their Parish Council. Examples of funded projects Golden Link Club received £400 towards the cost of new equipment, entertainment, and meals out for the elderly members of the group. Crowland PCC received £2,000 to repair five windows on the north side of the church and fit the exterior of these windows with wire mesh.
