Capital Grants help farmers and land managers pay for work that benefits the environment on farms, woodlands and other rural land in England. This can include protecting habitats, restoring and creating hedgerows, planting trees, and improving air and water quality.

Information about how to apply for funding to help farmers and land managers make environmental improvements on farms, woodlands and other rural land in England. This can include protecting habitats, improving air and water quality, and tree planting. Capital Grants can be standalone, or used to support and complement the following:  Sustainable Farming Incentive (SFI) agreements Countryside Stewardship (CS) Higher Tier (last agreements issued 1 January 2024) CS Mid Tier and Wildlife Offers (last agreements issued 1 January 2024) CS Higher Tier (CSHT) agreements starting from 2025 Environmental Stewardship (ES) Higher Level Stewardship agreements
