Who can apply
You can apply if your organisation is one of the following: • a voluntary or community organisation • a registered charity or charitable incorporated organisation (CIO) • a statutory body, such as a local authority, town, parish or community council • a not-for-profit company, including companies limited by guarantee and Community Interest Companies (CICs) • a group of organisations, as long as the lead applicant is a voluntary or community organisation, or a statutory body We can consider funding unincorporated groups, but we’d usually expect you to use the funding to become incorporated and register as a charity if needed. Requirements for board or committee members You must have at least 2 directors who are not related. We consider people related if they: • are married or in a civil partnership • are in a long-term relationship or living together • are part of the same family

These ideas should lead to positive and lasting change in Wales. Our funding priorities We want to fund projects that: • are innovative: they test new ways to tackle emerging or longstanding issues, such as finding better ways to support people and communities • enable organisations to work in new ways, including becoming more digitally capable, enabling mutual support, or building the infrastructure needed for local action to thrive • enable more people to reach their potential by tackling problems early Applications must meet at least one of the programme aims. What we want to see in your idea We’re looking for more than just a good idea. We want to see how you’ve developed it, who it involves, and how it builds on what’s already happening in your community. We’re looking for ideas that: • involve the people who will benefit • build on or add to existing work • show a clear commitment to inclusion and sustainability You can read more about our equalities principles and environmental policy.
